I have a FCC Part 15 compliant neighborhood radio station, and also online. I use Nicecast for broadcasting to the internet. The neighborhood radio transmitter gets the audio off the internet using iTunes stream running on my studio link computer.

I have been using GarageBand in 'live' mode, where I can select which channel of my Presonus interface to use. E.g., I can select active tracks like 1) channel 1 for microphone , or 2) channel 2 for a weather scanner, 3) channel 3 for telephone, etc.

How can I select which channel of the interface to activate from Djay?

I've tried to copy and paste an audio recording from GarageBand to djay but it won't let me paste. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so how did you fix it?

First of all: I like djay! Very much! It seems to be that algoriddim understood the needings of "normal" djs, who dont need a software beast. The GUI ist so fantastic simple! For those who want it could be more creative=complicated and for these who want it simple it is like that. Great Job until now, but be carful guys! I had seen it in 12 years using traktor: Looking back I must the best version was trakor 2.x, until 3.x everything become more and more complicated and in the end it is a tool, that is more for a studio and not for a life gig with party, alcohol and crowds jumpin' around.

This is all positive... comin' to the less happy thing, the BPM Grid. It do not work with handmade music AND some electronic breakbeats are hard to mix, too.

Make it visible, editable and lockable, please.

Linked Sync like Master & Slave in Traktor

Cause I am working a lot with Pitch (not Tempo!) I would be happy to "Link" the Sync, when both Decks are playing. I want to pich the next track up, while the former track is following by itself, in SYC.

The Problem why you cant do this by switching the sync button manually is that most of my mixings are tuned manually ba my ears. One Tip on the Sync would destroy the mixing.

Transition menu in djay 4?

Hey. Just wondered if there was an easier way to switch between automix transitions in djay 4... The feature was there in djay 3 and then disappeared when I installed the newest version. Now it seems I have to go into the preferences > Automix every time I want to use a different transition. Any fixes? Anders, please bring it back!

I think I start with some words about me:

DJing for 23 Years now

From 18 - 30 years it was a Fulltimejob in Berlin and other Regions in Germany

From 30 - today only Hobby with 2-3 Gigs per year

2000 started "PC-Djing" with Traktor 1.0, EMAGIC EMI 2|6 and a HP Notebook with Windows

2003 switch (back) to apple Powerbook, trying several USB Controller, best choise was a 25 Keyboard combined with analog Audio-Mixer

2006 (or 2007) bought brand new M-Audio xponent and still uses Traktor

2008 build a complete Case with stanton motorized decks and a Hackintosh in Case > 60 kg of Coolness, but the stanton stuff never worked well

2012 switch from Traktor to Djay, still got the xponent and since yesterday evening I think its a great deal!

So, come to my first question: My 15 years old HD 25 Headphone is dead and I need a new one. Some thing I always wanted is a Wireless Headphone. Today I think it should be possible with Bluetooth very comfortable.

Anybody knew a closed and quiet (Noise Canzelling) Headphone with Bluetooth Audio?

Updating Playlists during automix

I'm a DJ that makes usually makes the playlists ahead of time, and I noticed since getting this app, that it doesn't update the playlists from iTunes while it's on automix. Which makes it hard if somebody requests a song. Am I doing something wrong or does anybody have any tricks to this?

Multitouch vs Sound quality

i have recently purchased djay for ipad and for mac and the iphone controller.
i love the intuitive interface of the ipad app and the fact that it has multitouch control which, without an external controller, is extremely limited on djay for mac. (even using key commands and trackpad at the same time seems to be impossible i.e eq'ing bass on two channels simultaneously) However the sound quality coming from the ipad does not seem to be nearly pro enough yet especially when pre-cue enabling is giving horrible distortion even with the griffin cable that arrived today. i feel a bit like i'm throwing money at it but not really finding the solution i need.

i have traktor but i much prefer the interface of djay on ipad and i would love to use it in my gigs. has anyone tried using the ipad app on a large rig? can anyone advise on how i can get past the sound distortion with split/mono?
i am gearing up to do a gig with djay app on macbook air with apogee one soundcard but if there is any way of coming even close to the sound quality with the ipad app i would love to know the setup as i find the mac interface extremely restrictive compared to the ipad one.

I had this happen twice. While the song was playing the speed of the song changed. Not sure if that was a spin issue or Djay.

UI ergonomy enhancement

Hi Algorithm team

First of all thanks for this amazing product !

I have been using Djay a few times in several parties I noticed the following ergonomy issues when playing live, specially in clubs, when are moving or dancing while djing.

1. The main critical issue comes from the fact that the 3 buttons: "sync", "+" and "-" are too close to each other. As a results when you want to press the "minus" or "plus" button to adjust the sync, you sometimes press by mistake the sync button which then desyncs the two tracks.
A better position could be to put the sync button over or under the bpm display.

2. The second critical issue is due to the fact the bottom buttons of the EQ / effects panels are way too close the virtual vinyl.
=> There is a huge risk of stopping the playing deck
I see two possible solutions here:
-add an option to have this panel to fill 50% of the screen, or at least all of the virtual Vinyl, hiding the deck it corresponds to
=> I think this is the best option as there would be more space for controlings these parameters.
=> Maybe would it be good to propose 3 sizes for the effect panel: actual one, one fully covering the vinyl, and one taking 50% of the width of the screen.
-add an option to prevent the control of the deck when effects panel is displayed.

The main things which I am hilighting here is the fact that critical controls (like sync, the virtual deck, play & stop button...) should be at least a 2 centimeters far from any other active controls.

Otherwise It is not really possible to play on stage in live conditions with this software.

I hope these feedbacks will help you improve your software.

Problems with loading songs

The vast majority of the songs in my iTunes library load onto djay just fine. Other songs -- such as "Been a Long Day" by Rosi Golan -- won't load at all. I get an error message to the effect that "djay can't load song." Why is that? The error comes up on only a few songs.
